Linwood was originally incorporated as a borough by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on February 20, 1889, from portions of Egg Harbor Township, based on the results of a referendum held the previous day. Linwood was reincorporated as a city on April 27, 1931. The area had been called Leedsville until 1880, when a post office was being established. The United States Postal Service insisted that the name had to be changed as it conflicted with an existing post office elsewhere in the state. Among the names proposed and considered by local residents were "Brinola", "Geneva", "Pearville" and "Viola", with "Linwood" ultimately chosen.
Today we are happy to say that we have been cleaning carpets, furniture and rugs in Linwood for over 30 years. Our family has come to know this area as part of our home and we have many customers that have used us exclusively for years. This is why we chose to Linwood to be our featured service area of the month.
You can't not mentioned that Linwood has an excellent country club as well. Known as the 'Cheers' of local clubs where everyone knows your name. We are happy to work hard to service this neighborhood.
Linwood has some great parks too. The City currently operates a park system with approximately 36 acres, in addition to a bicycle path system that includes nearly 33 acres. Numerous recreational and athletic facilities are located throughout the City. These include baseball, softball, football, and soccer fields, a hockey court, playgrounds, and a bicycle path. The City is also committed to providing passive recreation opportunities which includes the Linwood Arboretum, Hartshorne Park, the SJI Park, and a portion of the Krumm Farm Vineyard. Our favorite is the vineyard where the city owned section opens every year to families who would like to come pick grapes.
If you need someone to help clean the grape juice spills when you get home make sure to contact us!
We are happy to serve this community and we would love to help in any way we can with your carpet, rug or furniture cleaning needs.
